And the Rest of Our Summer

Cousins Hailey and Sebastian came for the 4th of July. Unfortunately, so did the rain. All of the festivities got cancelled. But, that didn't stop us. We drove to Plainview to watch their fireworks display. It was really good. We also celebrated all of our birthdays. I got a cool boat for the swimming pool and Molly got a giant sized Barbie doll. Sebastian went home after the weekend but Hailey stayed for two weeks. We always love it when Hailey comes. It's like having a big sister. I sure do miss her!!

The Big Texan and TEXAS
We drove up to Canyon to see the show TEXAS. We all enjoyed it but the thunder storm (pretend) made us all jump. Before the show we ate at the Big Texan in Amarillo. Boy, everything there sure was BIG.

VBS

Our second cousins Cydney and Chandler came to visit. We were very excited that they wanted to go to VBS with us. We had a great few days of learning about the Lord. After VBS we would eat, rest, and then of course swim. One day we went to the park and had a picnic. I was super glad to have another boy to play with for a few days.

Chandler, me, Molly, Cydney, Hailey, and Ashlynn (she got to hang out with us too!)

The boys side

And the girls side

Mommy, Patty, and Rylan.
We are going to miss the Messers when they leave.

Summer Playtime and Butterflies
For Christmas Nana and Papa gave me a butterfly tree house. We waited until summer to order the caterpillars. It was really neat. I got to watch them form their chrysalis and turn into beautiful Monarch butterflies. We released them but one of them didn't make it. I gave it a funeral so it could go be with Jesus. Hours after we released them one flew over us while we were swimming.

Friday (our last day)

Animal Kingdom

King for a Day

My Birthday

We finished the week at Animal Kingdom. While everyone else at the park ran to the safari ride first we went to Dinoland and had the whole place to ourselves. We got to ride Triceratop Spin like five times. Daddy got us some fast passes for the Safari so when we were ready we walked right on. The weather was perfect for the animals. It was overcast with a cool temperature of 70 degrees. All of the animals were out. We got to see a baby elephant and her Mama. We also saw two elephants playing. It was really neat.

After the Safari we ate the best Chinese food ever at the Yak and Yeti cafe. AWESOME!! After lunch we tortured Molly and saw It's Tough to be a Bug. It even freaked Mommy out. We finished the day watching The Lion King show. I got to go up with some other kids and play a shaker while we danced around the stage. I didn't even realize what was happening until I was on stage.

After Animal Kingdom we went back to the house a swam. For dinner we ate at the coolest Cici's pizza I've ever been to. Then we had ice cream and opened presents. This birthday will be one I will always remember!

The Lion on pride rock just like on the Lion King.

Our tour guide was shocked the lion was awake since they usually sleep 18 hours a day.

Now that's a gorilla!

There I am!

Thursday
Cocoa Beach and Magic Kingdom

Thursday we took a little break from the parks and drove 45 minutes to Cocoa Beach. Molly played in the sand and I built a sand castle. Papa helped me search for sea shells which wasn't very hard. They were everywhere. After the beach we drove by NASA and looked at some space shuttles.
After the beach we went back to Magic Kingdom. We tackled Tomorrowland and had a blast. We did Monsters Inc. Laugh Factory which was pretty funny. Then Mommy and Daddy took me to ride Space Mountain. It was totally awesome. I wasn't scared at all, and I had to sit all by myself. We also drove the mini cars.
We then staked out a great place to watch the coolest parade Spectro. It was my favorite parade. Words can't begin to describe it and pictures don't give it justice. It was another late night but worth it!!
