Thank You Aunt Stephanie

On Friday I got a very special package in the mail. Aunt Stephanie sent me some new bows. That's her new thing, making hair bows. Mommy was so excited!!! However, there were so many bows (17 to be exact) that there wasn't any more room on my bow holder. So, Saturday morning we went to Hobby Lobby and Mommy got creative. She bought some flowers that match my room and hot glued ribbon to them. Now I have three ribbons full of bows. Thank goodness my hair is growing!

Just Call Me Bruiser!!

My new FAVORITE thing to do is walk!! If I'm in your lap then I will find your fingers, squirm down and beg you to walk me. Unfortunatley, while learning new skills things may go wrong. Let's just say when things went wrong my face (or shall I say nose) broke the fall. Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor and everything was just fine. This does put a damper on my 8 mth pictures though. Oh yeah, I'm 8 mths old now. I have grown a little but still not too much. Last time Mommy weighed me I weighed 15 lbs 9 oz. I am also 26 in long. I am so close to cutting my first tooth. I kinda look like dopey with my tongue constantly hanging out rubbing against it. I have a feeling this month is going to be a big one. I may even decide to start crawling.

Fun with Balls and Stuff

This week I started a new fun class. It was supposed to be an art class but there weren't enough kids to make a class so instead it's fun with balls and parachutes. I had a blast!!

On another note, I am finally sleeping in my own bed in my own room. I've actually been sleeping there since Christmas but Mommy didn't want to jinx it. I didn't throw a fit or anything. I knew it was time so Mommy and Daddy didn't have to pressure me. However, they did bribe me with Backyardigan's dolls. Now all my friends (Pablo, Tyrone, Austin, Uniqua, and Tasha) and I all sleep together. At first I had a hard time knowing when it was morning so Mommy bought me a clock. She put tape over the minutes (those confused me) and told me when it was 6 I could get out of bed. I usually wake up when it is 5 but I just play in my room until 6 and then I go find Mommy. Everyone is so proud of me.

All Better!!!

We think the worst is over!! I am still having to do breathing treatments every 8 hours but Dr. Guetersloh said I was sounding much better. Mommy is very glad I'm not broken anymore. I reminded her of the days of Gage crying all night and not sleeping. Once I felt better I went down like a champ and slept all night. Right now I am working on my crawling skills. Daddy woke up with me this morning and we worked hard. They tell me I am so close!!

Mommy entered me into a couple of photo competitions just for fun. We found out yesterday that I won consolation prize for the Capture the Moment competition. There were 72 prizes given out but that isn't so bad considering there were over 500 entries. We will find out about the other competition probably sometime next week. Right now I am in 16th place.
