Our Cousin Hailey
Cousin Hailey has been with us since last Friday. We have been having so much fun and staying very busy. So far we have done artwork at Clay Cafe, gone to the Science Spectrum, swam, gone to VBS, played at Jump and Jungle, and had an evening at Joyland. Whew! That's a lot! Cousin Kailee joined us at VBS she and Hailey are the same age so they were in class together. We learned great bible stories and great songs. Our next adventure of the summer will start Wednesday when we leave for South Padre. We are taking Hailey home on the way so we are going to have a full car. Oh, did I mention that Nana and Papa are also going? We are going to stay with Uncle Jim and Aunt Ann. All I keep hearing about their house is that they have a parrot. We'll see what this bird is like. Stay tuned for some great beach stories!

My New Tricks

Turning 13 months old has opened up a whole new world for me. I am actually freaking Mommy out a little bit with how much I am learning. I'm like a little sponge that won't stop soaking. Mommy and Daddy are having fun communicating with me and teaching me. So far I say Mama and Dada a lot, however, I like to toy with them and say the opposite of what they ask for. It's a little game that entertains me. What amazes Mommy is my signing abilities. I can sign: more, eat, please, cat, dog, bird, beautiful, Mama, Dada, bath, potty, drink, and am working on good and bad. I also enjoy making animal sounds. Check out the videos to see me in action!

Happy 4th of July!
The 4th started off pretty early. Molly and I are such early birds Mommy thought it would be a good idea to go downtown early and get good seats for the parade. It worked! Nana and Papa and us had great seats under the trees on Tech campus. Molly and I ran around and made lots of new friends. Kristin and Annie came later and sat with us. My favorite parts of the parade were the fire trucks, police cars, and super heroes. I don't know what Molly's favorite part was but she seemed to really enjoy it.
That night we went to Mackenzie with the Lufts to watch the fireworks. We went down to the park and listened to music and ate some yummy food. Unfortunately, we didn't quite make it long enough to see the fireworks. From where we were we didn't know that the concert was running late so we packed up and headed home. Considering it was almost 4 hours past our bed times and me, Molly and Annie were all still awake, the parentals thought it would be a good idea to go home and get us to bed. But we did get to see plenty of fireworks set off around us so it wasn't completely all for nothing. We also got to enjoy some great time with our great friends!!

Look for this picture to be in the AJ. The "Been Spotted" guy took this picture.
With so much time to kill, it was perfect for photo-ops.

About to give it up. I'm tired!

Molly just refused to give it up and go to sleep. She fought until the end.

I'm a Swim Graduate!

Just call me Mr. Fish. I had my last swim lesson and passed my test with flying colors. The test is some girl throws you in and if you can swim to the edge you pass. The girl in the pink swim suit was my teacher Ms. Whitney. She's pretty!!!

Woof, Woof

One of my new many talents is eating like a dog. Watch and enjoy!

Desperate for a Pet
For those of you who don't know I miss Taz and Sable immensely. I miss having a pet. I beg Mommy and Daddy every day for a puppy and they promise me that we will get one just not right now. They say that I would step in the poop while playing outside. So I responded with my great idea of putting the dog in a cage. Mommy's response was dogs need to be free and not cooped up in a cage all day long. My response..... I could walk around the poop. Mommy's response.... big dogs have big poop and it would be hard to miss. My response.... we could get a teeny tiny dog they have teeny tiny poop. Needless to say I'm not going to give up!
So until the day I get a puppy I'm pretty much going to turn everything into a pet. Case in point meet my new friend Baby Praying Mantis.

We found him on the back porch
He really liked me and crawled all over me

Isn't he great?

Mommy had me put him in our garden to find his Mommy and Daddy.
Maybe I'll see him again someday.
